#01 - Busy
It was like clock work; he would always annoy her when she was the most busy.
#02 - Want
Tristessa had wants and desires of her own, none of which Abel knew about.
#03 - Raven
Abel would watch her communicate with the Ravens, but never told her he was one too.
#04 - Rain
She would cry alone in the rain time and time again; but she wouldn't know that a certain priest would cry with her from behind a pillar.
#05 - Apologize
"Fine! I'm sorry, you happy now?!" Her face became red as a flag waved in front of a bull. With a simple smile, he responded: "Yes. Quite. Now can you please slip on your maid outfit so you can get started?" That resulted in a swift kick to the family jewels.
#06 - Magnificence
Her graceful wings shielded him from the overwhelming gunfire. With his head in her arms the world was forgotten as his usual role of saving, was reversed and in its stead; the damsel in distress looked almost as magnificent as he did. And for that he was grateful.
#07 - Essence
The black-maned gothic beauty kept staring at Father Nightroad, staring at Esther. And for a moment, she wished she was the one he was staring at.
#08 - Breathe
He brushed the curls out of her face, watching her eyelids gently twitch from her dream. The priest wondered to himself whether or not she was dreaming of him.
#09 - Kiss
She felt sorry for Esther tonight, because right now, Abel's hand was on her leg; and his lips on hers with tears streaming down her cheeks.
#10 - Sinner
She was even more perfect the way the sun gently shone on her; how her parasol was propped to one side, and the book in her lap while she napped. This made him feel more like a sinner.
#11 - Chance
She thought she never had a chance. She loved him, but he loved Esther. There was one thing Tristessa had that Esther didn't: 1,350 years of experience and training. Compare that to 5 months.
#12 - Sorrow
Tristessa moaned into her pillow as her heart crumbled. As he sat next to her pityingly, she cried for her selfish nature: she was not meant to be with him. And that he did not know.
#13 - Joy
Her heart skipped a beat in joy as he bent down a planted a kiss on her cheek.
#14 - Vampire
"I would appreciate it if you unhanded the Sister, and dropped your weapon," There was a hint of jealousy in his tone. The moment the vampire defy his order, he knew he would have to defend and protect what was his.
#15 - Star
If Esther was the Star, then that would make Tristessa the Falling Star. And she wondered if Father Abel would catch her.
#16 - Queen
The Queen has just been crowned. This left the new AX member with what to do next concerning fate. Then Abel kissed her.
#17 - Cain
It had been a week since she first arrived, and already she had been training very hard. "Why do you fight with so much anger?" He asked. "Because I refuse to let someone die." He furrowed brow and asked who. But she couldn't answer. You.
#18 - Stare
All the while when Ion was looking at Esther, Abel wasn't jealous. Because he, too, was preoccupied with a certain black ringlet girl, and a certain dress she wore.
#19 - Missing
Tristessa knew why Esther was angry. And she also knew where she was, that was the reason the newbie hid. She could hear footsteps of the father calling her name playfully, but Tristessa was hiding in earnest like a scared little girl.
#20 - Next
Tristessa watched as Abel and Esther flirted with each other. She sighed and went back to her poem. Well, they're supposed to be lovers. I'm nothing but next in line. Then she looked up and saw the very same father walking towards her, and little Esther staying behind waving happily. With another sigh, she laughed. Because she just saw him wink. In my direction.
#21 - First
Valentine's Day was the worst possible day for Tristessa. But she couldn't help but grin sheepishly and blush when Abel presented her with a bouquet of flowers and a box of candy. "You were the first one I thought of, Tessie!"
#22 - Yes
He wouldn't stop prodding until he got a 'yes' from the sister for that Saturday night. That was why he was on his knees, while faux tears brimmed his eyes.
#23 - No
It was such a simple answer, really. "Why are you staring at me? Is there something wrong with me?" He simply smiled. "No! It's because you look so beautiful," And that earned him a kiss on the chin.
#24 - Help
The computer froze again. And again Abel would annoyingly poke her arm, claiming the computer is an idiot. With a little short command Tess would type in, it was back up and running in no time. He would freeze, turn to look at her from the short message she really typed in. "You're the idiot, you lovable goon."
#25 - Fantasy
He had a strange fascination with how Tess would gaze up at the sky. But he loved it most when he held her in his arms and stroked her hair. But that was only a fantasy.
#26 - Frozen
Her hands were cold. Cold and wretched in the dead of winter. But even though he held her hands in his, her heart wanted to be free of her cold and frozen prison, and he could never be able to do even that.
#27 - Sparkle
He loved the sparkle in her eyes when he said those words. "I love you," but hated the look of disbelief even when he scooped her into his arms as she cried in joy.
#28 - Warmth
Even when he said he didn't want it, he wholeheartedly welcomed Tristessa's hugs, because it always brought the priest warmth, even if she accidentally pushed him into the snow from a glomp.
#29 - Dream
She would always cry, even after a good night's sleep. Because she would always dream about her and a certain priest making love, and not coming true.
#30 - Journal
Even when Leon showed Tristessa Abel's journal, she turned away. Losing Abel's trust was the last thing she wanted, even though seven words she longed to hear was on those pages. "I love Tristessa with all my heart." The truth was, he wrote that on purpose, hoping she would see it.
#31 - Birthday
He wanted her to wear it, of course alone with him on her birthday. But then again, was the chemise he picked out the right color?
#32 - Music
Whenever he was paired with Tess on missions, the sound of her breathing at night was music to his ears. She was alive, and in the same room with him. That was more than he expected.
#33 - Blush
With passion flashing in his eyes, she could see a blush gracing his cheeks, even though they were alone, and his fingers fiddling with the beltloop of her jeans.
#34 - Tattoo
Even as he attended to the wound on her arm, she couldn't help but love the feel of his fingers dancing over her tattoo on her lower back. Where there was no wound, and no reason for being there.
#35 - Diary
Even after she did read what he wrote in his journal, she wrote a page of him in her diary and tore it out, and left it on his pillow. All the while waiting for him to get back and read it.
#36 - Poem
Wings beating, screams in the distance; with all my love I still will not fall on my face in fear.
Fire blazes, eyes red with panic; death dances about tortured souls....still....fear I feel not.
As the day closes, and sleep falls upon God's children, I still dream, I still yearn....
for that dark angel lost in the graveyard.
#37 - Dance
Even when Tristessa would dance alone in utter glee, he silently wondered to himself what it would be like to have that kind of joy.
#38 - Wine
He tasted wine in the pout of her lips as he kissed her. Breathing in deeply he hoped to become drunk and forgetful of his previous sins.
#39 - Whisper
She twirled her father's ring around and around, dazzled by the bloodstone. Slowly she became aware of a pair of strong arms around her waist, and a gentle whisper in her ear. And surely, she was thankful for Abel's knowledge of her past. He knows.
#40 - Nightingale
Everytime she closes her eyes, Tristessa sees that horrible nightmare. Even though they were meant to be, Tristessa wished she was the one Abel was embracing in the shadow of the nightingale's call.
#41 - Forget
His soft voice cooed her to sleep. Safely settled in his arms Tristessa slept while Abel sang to her. And for a moment, they forgot both of their troubles.
#42 - Wish
"Hey, make a wish!" Esther nudged Tess then flipped a coin into the fountain. She merely smiled sadly and casually tossed the coin in the water. I wish Father Nightroad would kiss me. Well, at least notice me....And suddenly she was swept off her feet by the very same silver-haired priest and twirled around. "Hi Tessie! For some reason I wanted to talk to you!"
#43 - Heaven
It was raining. He was alone. But when he felt the warmth of her embrace against his cold heart, he felt as if...well, as if he was in heaven.
#44 - Broken
As if nightmares weren't enough, she thought she was living one when he saw Father Nightroad bend down to lightly kiss Sister Esther's cheek. Her broken heart remained as she ran down the hall, and into a broom closet, where no one but God knew of her whereabouts.
#45 - Beauty
He gently laid back against the headboard of his bed, holding the fragile beauty in his arms, her eyes red and puffy and eyeliner dampened. "Stop staring at me, I feel hideous." He chuckled and brushed back a lock of hair. "That's impossible. You always look especially beautiful to me."
#46 - Black & Purple
She recieved a package from Sister Esther. It had no name, other than Tess's, and it had no note attatched. When she closed the door to her room, she opened it and in it was a cute little dress, black with purple frills. In it was a note: Sorry I forgot about your birthday. Please accept this gift for my tardiness. ~Abel
#47 - Grace
"Please answer me," He tenderly whispered in her ear, placing a rose in her hand. "Do you love me?" Her violet eyes graced his features, and she smiled. "I love you." And that she was rewarded with a passionate kiss, in the midst of the swirling autumn leaves.
#48 - Pillow
He was gone for weeks. The closest thing that resembled him was a big cushy pillow that Abel gave her. And by now it had several mascara stains.
#49 - Bloody Snow
He always knew where she was in the winter; he would simply follow the trail of bloody tears in the virgin snow. And that would always lead him to a broken little girl haunted by nightmares.
#50 - Butterflies
There were two things that made her smile: Butterflies and a silver-haired priest. And right now as he was carrying her through the crisp morning spring air, butterflies surrounded themselves around her. She couldn't have been more happier in all her 1,300 years.
